Your best friend has been invited to a party. Look at the picture and see what she is going to wear.

1- Do you like her dress ?

2- What would you advise her to wear ?
e.g.: If I were youI would wear jeans.

3- How many parts are there in the sentences we are using?

4- What tense do we use in the first part of the sentence, after " If " ?
What tense do we use in the second part of the sentence ?

5- In a conditional sentence there are two parts, condition and result.

If you wore that dresspeople would be surprised.

        CONDITION            RESULT

6- In groups of four, write four sentences using the second conditional.
e.g.: ( You are very upset with your best friend )  If I were you, I would talk to her.
e.g.: ( You are hungry ) If I were you, I would buy a hamburger.
e.g.: ( You need a new car but you don´t have money ) If I won the lottery, I would buy a car.
e.g.: ( It´s your sister´s wedding, you are the only one wearing jeans. ) If I had time, I would go home
            and change my clothes.
7- In turns, read the sentences to the class.
